Gentlesneaker is a site you read. There are no accounts, forms, ads or analytics, and we do not sell personal information. Here is what can still be seen when you visit, and by whom.

What we collect
Nothing, unless you email us. There is no sign-in, newsletter, comment box or shopping basket, and no advertising or analytics scripts. If we add analytics, this page will say so first.
What our host records
The site is served by Vercel. To deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, Vercel processes standard request data, such as your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and the time. Vercel may also run automated security checks against bots and attacks. Vercel’s privacy policy explains how that data is handled. Our typefaces come from the same servers, so no font service learns of your visit.
Videos
Model pages can show video reviews. YouTube cover pictures load from YouTube’s image servers (i.ytimg.com). The player itself loads only when you press play, in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com); once it plays, YouTube’s own policies apply. TikTok and Instagram videos open on their own sites.
Your browser’s storage
Our pages set no cookies. The walking figure in our logo wears one of six sneakers: your browser’s session storage keeps a single number so the same pair stays on as you move between pages, and it is cleared when you close the tab. The model search keeps your filters in the page address, not in your browser.
Links to other sites
Links to makers’ own pages, publications, YouTube, TikTok and Instagram, and the buy button that opens a Google search for a model, take you to sites with their own privacy policies.
